We have received many enquiries from our students seeking clarification on the inconsistency of information from the MOE’s Council of Private Education (CPE) pertaining to the requirement for medical insurance coverage.
The School has in-turn sought clarification from the CPE and would like to clarify the followings:
1. Medical insurance coverage for hospitalisation and related medical treatment for the entire course duration is compulsory to full-time students only.
2. Full-time students who are Singapore citizens, Singapore permanent residents or foreign students not holding a Student’s Pass (from the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority), and, who are already covered by their own medical insurance plans, can opt out of the medical insurance scheme. However, the minimum coverage for medical insurance must be:

a) annual limit not less than S$20,000
b) at least B2 ward, and
c) 24 hours coverage in Singapore and overseas
